How do I make my car Smog exempt?

Well I've been reading around and see that some people know how to make their car Smog Exempt in California. Does anyone out there know how to do this? People who do this do it to Hondas.

1. convert it to a ZEV or a diesel.
2. alternate fuels.(alcohol or propane) you will need to see what the local laws say but that what I did (propane) and mine passed easy. good luck
