Is a conservative briton equal to a liberal american?

i heard that europe and canada are very liberal. so is a someone who is conservative in britain, would they be a liberal in america?

7. Yes, pretty much. Not an exact match of course. But consider the issue of healthcare - no conservative in the UK would ever dream of suggesting that free nationalised healthcare should be messed with. Even suggesting it in the US seems to be tantamount to espousing communism though! Ditto the dole (unemployment benefit, though it's more complex nowadays).

Ooooo dont generalize... the canadian GOVERNMENT is very liberal but not all the people and most europeans are strictly conservative. dont group countires. everyone is differnt. thats like saying that all texans are under educated (no offence to any texans) its all generalizing and steriotypes. it only hurts, never helps.
